Why Your Injury Insurance Premium Rate Depends on Having Up-to-Date OKVED Codes

It seems like a minor detail: the fund will simply check your OKVED code in the USRLE and assign your injury insurance premium rate.

The SFR will indeed determine your main business activity automatically – based on registry data. But if it still lists a code you last used three years ago, the rate might not be the most favorable. Any overpayment just becomes a company expense, simply because someone forgot to update the information.

What Has Changed Since 2026

Now, only separate subdivisions registered with the SFR and that changed their main activity last year are required to submit documents to the fund. The SFR handles everything else automatically.

However, there's a crucial point that SFR branches themselves (for example, in the Nizhny Novgorod region) explicitly advise: check whether the codes in the USRLE actually match what your business does. If they don't, it's better to make changes proactively.

Why This Matters Right Now

The fund will rely on the applicant-declared OKVED codes listed in your USRLE or USRIP (Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs) extract. If the wrong activity type is recorded there, your injury insurance rate could be set higher than necessary. Proving later that "we actually work in a different sector" is difficult and time-consuming.

The good news: you can get an extract for free via the Federal Tax Service online service and simply verify your data.

What You Should Do Right Now

  1. Go to the Federal Tax Service website and download a current extract from the USRLE or USRIP.
  2. Check which OKVED code is listed as your main activity (usually the first one).
  3. If the code is outdated or doesn't match your actual activities, update it in the registry.
  4. Ensure that any separate subdivisions (if they exist and changed their activity) have submitted their documents on time.
If you'd rather not deal with codes, registries, and applications yourself – pass the task to us. We'll verify your data, help with any necessary changes, and monitor the process to ensure your rate is set correctly.

Submit a request – we'll conduct an audit of your OKVED codes and make sure you're not overpaying on injury insurance premiums.
