The President of the Russian Federation has signed a Decree that increases the age limit for deferring IT-specialists from conscription from 27 to 30 years.
At the same time, it is necessary to comply with a number of conditions according to which the employee:
If the employment contract with the IT- company was concluded not later than one year from the date of graduation from a higher education organization or a scientific organization, the above requirement for the period of work is not taken into account.
To obtain a deferment, it is necessary to send the relevant list of citizens to the Ministry for Digital Technology, Communication and Mass Media. The deadline for sending information is not later than 50 calendar days before the start of the next drafting. The information indicates:
Deferment from conscription is granted not later than 30 calendar days before the start of the next drafting.
In case of dismissal of an employee from the IT-company, it is necessary to notify the military commissariat within 5 working days from the date of dismissal of the employee.
For non-fulfillment by the employer of the requirement to provide information about the employed or dismissed specialist to the military commissariat, administrative liability is provided under article 21.4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation in the form of a fine in the amount of 1,000 - 5,000 rubles.

At the same time, it is necessary to comply with a number of conditions according to which the employee:
- must have Russian citizenship;
- have to work in an accredited IT-company on the basis of an employment contract for at least 11 months during the year preceding the date of the beginning of conscription;
- have to have a graduate degree in the specialty occupation from the list approved by the Decree No. 490 of the Government of the Russian Federation dated March 28, 2022;
- have to carry out labour activities with a normal duration of working day (not more than 8 hours).

- full name of the IT-specialist;
- year and place of their birth;
- personal insurance policy number (Russian acronym - SNILS);

- place of work and taxpayer ID number (Russian acronym – INN) of the employer company.
