Refinancing rate of 5.5%, membership in the Customs Union and an effective system of e-government are among main reasons for investment attractiveness of the country. Kazakhstan also has attractive tax rates, for example, VAT amounts 12% (compared to 18% in Russia), the property tax does not exceed the level of 1.5% (2.2% — in Russia). Social insurance contributions are equal to 11% in comparison with 30.2% in Russia. In Kazakhstan the individual income tax amounts 10% while in Russia its analog is equal to 13%.
To make your business prosper in a foreign market you should take into consideration not only the legislative differences, but also local business practices and peculiarities of a national mentality. The experience in working in this region has demonstrated that the Kazakhstan colleagues perceive Russian partners in a very friendly and open-minded way and their way of doing business is built on thoughtfulness and attention to details.
According to Tatiana Modeeva, the CEO of Acsour, “the opening of an office in Kazakhstan will allow us to provide the common service standards which our clients are accustomed to in Russia as well as in other countries”.
