Determining
the legal address

An LLP can be registered at the place of residence of the founder or on the leased/purchased area.

Selecting a business name

The company name must be unique and indicated in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.

Classification of activities

Definition of the company’s activities according to the Kazakhstan-wide classifier of economic activity.

Determining the scale of the business and choosing the tax regime

Depending on the selected scale of the business, the authorized capital is determined. For microbusiness, the authorized capital may be zero, for medium and large businesses — at least 100 monthly calculation indices (in 2024 it is 3,692,000 tenge).

Preparation of documents

The founding agreement, if there are two or more founders of the company.

Registration of an LLP

Personal registration at the public service center or online via Egov. kz .
Upon personal registration, it is required to provide a founding agreement, documents confirming the legal address of the company, and pay the state fee (for large businesses).
When registering online via Egov. kz it is required to fill out an online form, attach scanned documents and pay the fee (for large businesses). The form is signed using an electronic digital signature.

Opening an account for an LLP

After registration, you must open a bank account and contact an insurance company for employer liability insurance. A certificate of registration of a legal entity, the articles of association of the company and the passports of the founders are required.

For foreign legal entities and foreign citizens

For legal entities establishing an LLP, you will need to obtain a business identification number, as well as copies of the constituent documents and extracts from the trade register;
A foreign citizen can also open an LLP in Kazakhstan. To do this, he will need additional documents, including an individual identification number, a notarized copy of his passport.

Permits for foreign founders

Depending on the country of origin of the citizen, a visa (C5) and a permit for temporary residence and work in Kazakhstan may be required.
