The Russian Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labour Relationships has approved recommendations on providing employees undergoing vaccination against a new coronavirus infection with two paid additional days of rest.
According to the text of the document, employers are recommended to provide for provisions in collective agreements or internal regulatory documents to provide employees vaccinated against coronavirus with two paid additional days off.
This possibility is fixed within the framework of employment legislation, according to which the employer has the right to independently regulate the organization of labour of employees, taking into account their financial and economic situation.
Companies may also provide other guarantees and compensation for employees’ participation in vaccination against COVID-19. For example, the possibility of inclusion of additional days off to the annual vacation, making additional payments, food payment, travel and other activities. The bodies of the Federal Labour and Employment Agency of the Russian Federation also adhere to this.
Please note that the provisions of the document are advisory, not mandatory in nature. Therefore, the decision to provide two additional days off or other social guarantees to employees for vaccination remains with the employer.
