The public holiday calendar for 2021 has been approved

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved the occupational calendar for 2021.

According to the approved calendar, the following holiday periods are set for the next year:

  • From January 1st to January 10th;
  • From February 21st to February 23rd;
  • From March 6th to March 8th;
  • From May 1st to May 3rd;
  • From May 8th to May 10th;
  • From June 12th to June 14th;
  • From November 4th to November 7th.

Therefore, the New Year holidays will last 10 days, and Thursday, December 31, 2020 is a working day reduced by 1 hour. The rest period in May will be six days: from May 1st to May 3rd and from May 8th to May 10th.

Three days of rest were approved in connection with the celebration of the International women’s day (from March 6th to March 8th), of the Defender of the Fatherland day (from February 21st to February 23rd) and of the Russia Day (from June 12th to June 14th). At the same time, the week, on which the holiday of February 23 falls on, will be 6-day week (February 20 is a working day reduced by 1 hour). Four days of rest are set in connection with the celebration of National Unity Day (from November 4th to November 7th).
