Submission of the annual report on the activities of foreign companies

Please be reminded that foreign organizations that operate in the Russian Federation through a branch or representative office are required to submit an annual report on their activities.

The deadline for submitting the report is not later than March 28 of the year following the reporting year. This means that the report for 2020 should be submitted not later than March 29, 2021 (since March 28 is a Sunday).

The report is filled in according to the form approved by the Order No. BG-3-23/19 of the Ministry for Taxes and Levies of Russia dated January 16, 2004. The report must contain the following information:

• about the activities of a foreign organization;
• about settlement and current accounts of a foreign company in authorized banks of the Russian Federation;
• about the accounting and tax records system used by the representative office of a foreign company in the Russian Federation;
• about interest paid to related parties on debt obligations;
• about financing of a representative office of a foreign company (if any).

It is necessary to submit a report to the tax authority for each permanent representative office of a foreign organization in the Russian Federation at its location. The report submission form is paper one. Submission of the report in electronic form is not provided.
