The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reminds of the need to provide information to the military commissariat about dismissed employees engaged in IT activities.
In the letter No. 308/2/771 dated April 27, the bodies of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Defense) report that accredited organizations in which citizens who have received a deferral from induction into the armed forces are required to inform the military commissariat about the dismissal of such employees from their positions. It is necessary to notify the military commissariat in the form approved by the Government’s Decree No. 719 dated November 27, 2006. The notice period is 2 weeks from the date of signing the Dismissal order.
Please be reminded that in March 2022, the President of the Russian Federation signed a Decree granting a deferral from induction into the armed forces of employees working in the field of IT. According to the Decree, employers should form and send to the Ministry for Digital Technology, Communication and Mass Media a list of employees wishing to receive such a deferral not later than 50 calendar days before the start of the next induction into the armed forces. It is possible to do this through the “State Services” portal.
Deferral from induction into the armed forces is granted not later than 30 calendar days before the start of the next one.
For non-fulfillment by the employer of the requirement to provide information about the employed or dismissed specialist to the military commissariat, administrative liability is provided under article 21.4 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation in the form of a fine in the amount of 1,000 – 5,000 rubles.
