For the tax period of 2020, temporary rules were established, including the possibility to switch to quarterly payment of advance payments based on actual profit. This was done to support organizations in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.
According to the new amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, the revenue limit has been raised from 15,000,000 to 25,000,000 rubles for each quarter of the previous four. Consequently, a taxpayer whose sales income for the third and fourth quarters of 2019 and for the first and second quarters of 2020 does not exceed an average of 25,000,000 rubles for each quarter will switch to payment only of quarterly advance payments based on the results of the first half of 2020.
