The public holiday calendar for 2022 has been approved

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved the occupational calendar for 2022.

According to the approved calendar, the following holiday periods are set for the next year:

  • From January 1st to January 9th;
  • February 23rd;
  • From March 6th to March 8th;
  • From May 1st to May 3rd;
  • From May 7th to May 10th;
  • From June 11th to June 13th;
  • From November 4th to November 6th.

Therefore, the New Year holidays will last 9 days, and Friday, December 31, 2021 is a day off, established by Government Resolution No. 1648 dated October 10, 2020. The rest period in May will be seven days: from May 1st to May 3rd and from May 7th to May 10th.

Three days of rest have been approved in connection with the celebration of International Women’s Day (from March 6th to March 8th) and Russia Day (from June 11th to June 13th). One day of rest falls on Wednesday – February 23rd. At the same time, the week on which the holiday of March 8th falls on will be 6 days (March 5th is a working day shortened by 1 hour). Three days of rest have been established in connection with the celebration of National Unity Day (from November 4th to November 6th).
