The Mayor of Moscow in his Decree established for employers the obligation to transfer employees to remote working mode in the period from October 5 to October 28 of the current year. These measures are being introduced owing to the spread of coronavirus infection.
According to the amendments, it is necessary to transfer to the specified mode:
And it does not matter which type of contract has been concluded with an individual (labour contract or civil law contract (Russian acronym – GPH)). This requirement applies in respect of all employees of the company.
Moscow companies also have to determine the number of employees who can and cannot be transferred to remote working mode. Such information should be sent in electronic form to the address organization_size@mos.ru according to the form from Appendix 4 to the Decree No. 12-UM of the Mayor of Moscow dated 5/3/2020. In particular, the information should include data on the types of activities and the place of its performance with the code from the address of the Federal information address system (FIAS).
Please note that the Resolution No. 121 of the Government of St. Petersburg dated 13/3/2020 has also undergone changes, according to which employers are recommended to transfer employees who are not directly involved in ensuring the functioning of the organization to remote mode, as well as to maintain the mode for employees who already work remotely.
